Rally Master Pro now preinstalled on Sony Ericsson Satio and Vivaz

Rally Master Pro, the benchmark for the mobile rally genre, will be preinstalled in a special high-quality Symbian version on the new Sony Ericsson smartphone models Satio™ and Vivaz™.

Hamburg, Germany, 08 February 2010 – Starting immediately, the high-end 3D racing game Rally Master Pro will be preinstalled on the Sony Ericsson Satio™ and Vivaz™. Both smartphone models are ideal for games, thanks to the large display, 720 MHz processor, OpenGL graphics powered by Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR SGX, and touch and tilt support for controls. Those who already own a Sony Ericsson Satio™ can download the off-road racer from the Sony Ericsson PlayNow download shop for free from mid march on to tear up the track on asphalt, gravel, sand, or snow in classic rally style. Rally Master Pro on Satio™ and Vivaz™ will be shown to the public for the first time at the Imagination Technologies booth in Hall 1 at MWC in Barcelona.

Thanks to the high 640x360 resolution on the Satio™ and Vivaz™, the detailed landscapes and weather conditions in Rally Master Pro are optically better than ever on the wide-screen display. At the same time, the weather, track, and damage-dependent 4-point driving physics provide a distinct and realistic driving feel. With the unique, interactive replay, the last stage can be studied with numerous vehicle and TV cameras and individual sequences can be fast forwarded and rewound to reach the finish line with as few scratches as possible. In the adrenaline mode, the rally car must also reach the finish as undamaged as possible. In the game, the 3D damage model always allows an overview of the condition of the car – the repair options can be used as a mini-game between the stages to get the car fit again for the next test.

‘With the two high-performance models Sony Ericsson Satio™ and Vivaz™, the Swedes seamlessly expand their leading position in Java gaming with smartphones,’ says Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH. ‘Currently, the Satio™ and Vivaz™ offer the best game experience for Rally Master Pro on any mobile device.’

Actually, better graphics... since the Satio and the Vivaz carry the same graphic chip than the 3Gs but even a faster processor they are able to show up to 7x better graphics than an iPhone 3G or iPod 2º Generation... the game though is just a port from iPhone to Symbian, so the models are the same but the textures are better and the Satio version features also motion blur

The Vivaz (a.k.a Kurara) is a new SE phone, announced and to be available soon I hope... its strongest feature is its 8MP camera and the possibility to record the best HD video ever on a mobile phone, 720p and better quality than OMNIA HD... even in low light conditions, I leave you a little video of its video recording capabilities so that you can enjoy...

Watch it in HD

I can't believe Satio can run this. When I had it for test, I tried stupid 3D java games and it lagged...then I tried 2D games...and it lagged.

As it's a symbian powered phone it won't run a decent java title but it could easily handle awesome symbian titles... though there are not many

The problem with symbian is always the same... not many developers will make games for it..... so ?(
